An alchemically transformed version of Boswellia dalzielii using the classical elements as catalysts. Created at The Island Octopus Incensarium.
You will receive approximately 15 grams (0.52 ounces) of all natural resin incense housed in a plastic bag including an illustrated label. The Island Octopus' "Neptunian Frankincense" line is designed for an enhanced experience while using charcoal censers. It is also recommended for using in the creation of homemade incense mixtures.
*** Production description ***
Neptunian Frankincense was created at The Island Octopus Incensarium. Pure Frankincense oleoresin from Burkina Faso is transformed using fresh sea water from the Gulf of Mexico, the Southwestern Florida sunlight, and coastal breezes. The only addition is a special organic aquatic botanical that provides its vibrant blue color. No artificial dyes were used in the creation of this incense!
Our method for transforming the raw product into Neptunian Frankincense brings out the best qualities of the incense. This form of Frankincense has a higher resin content, which allows for its therapeutic qualities to be released more readily when smoldered on charcoal. We estimate that this product delivers nearly twice the amount of aromatic incense material when compared with the raw resin of Boswellia dalzielii. By using the coastal elements to transform the raw Frankincense, the resin is infused with seaside aromatic notes which create a calming and unique incense experience.
Boswellia dalzielii info specifics: This species was a quite interesting to work with. It is one of my favorites of the Frankincense species. A mysterious event happened during transformation process where various elements separated, with different colors appearing in each. These separated elements then began to merge back together during the drying process, creating a visually stunning combination of color. I am very happy with the end result. The end result is a nice, clean B. dalzielii aroma in which the sweet, lemony and spicy notes that are more pronounce when compared with the raw resin.
