You will receive approximately 15 grams (0.52 ounces) of all natural resin-based incense housed in an aluminum tin with an illustrated label. The Island Octopus' "Incense Pearl" blends are hand rolled balls of resin-based incense designed for use with electric and charcoal censers.

*** Blend description ***
Island Christmas Incense is a new blend bringing together the classic Christmas tree aroma melded with a combination of lovely tropical ingredients. This blend first started out as an evergreen evergreen mix with classic Nag Champa elements, however it has developed quite nicely as the process commenced. For fans of Island Nag Champa, Winter Solstice Incense and Incienso de los Muertos.
Island Christmas is based primarily in Copal Blanco, then blended with Balsam Fir, Piñon Pine, Black Spruce and other coniferous elements. The aroma of warm wood was captured with the addition of Palo Santo and Mysore Sandalwood, and sweetened with small amounts of Sumatran Benzoin and Tolu Balsam. Bay West Indies and Star Anise bring an unexpected spicy note, with a liberal amount of White Champaca providing an enticing top note. Throw in a few more floral, sweet, earthy notes and even some surprising resins into the mix, and you an incense fit for any festive occasion. Rolled in freshly unveiled Bald Cypress leaves collected in the cypress swamps of Southwest Florida.
Island Christmas Incense is best experienced on an electric incense heater such as the legendary Golden Lotus heater. I prefer to use the highest setting, filling the room with scent without producing smoke. Estimated use time is probably 1.5 to 2 hours on high settings. We usually heat them longer around here. For traditional settings (especially if used for smudging) place the incense directly on the red hot coal. To enhance the aromatic experience by controlling the heat source, you may allow the coal form a thin layer of ash over its surface, creating a thin barrier between the incense and the coal. This will help the subtle and delicate notes to emerge with less charing of the resin.
