A roll-on fragrance created at The Island Octopus Incensarium.
You will receive approximately 10 ml (0.34 ounces) of all natural fragrance based in essential oils, absolutes, and infusions blended in a jojoba carrier oil. The Island Octopus' rollerball blends are "wearable incense" versions of some of our best-selling traditional incense blends and are perfect for casual use during traveling or daily-to-day activities.
*** Fragrance description ***
Island Nag Champa fragrance was inspired by our all natural resin-based incense blend of the same name. Many of the ingredients are the same in both the fragrance and incense versions, with a few variations due to necessity. The original incense formula was divided into four separate perfume accords: Hidden Palapa, Blood of the Island, Tropical Seduction, and Kiss of Paradise. These accords became the building blocks of the final fragrance, with ingredient ratios being altered to better fit the aqueous medium.
This fragrance was brought into existence with the intent of keeping the original spirit behind our Island Nag Champa incense intact, taking the traditional nag champa incense recipe in a more tropical direction. This fragrance melds the traditional nag champa scent with the aroma of a warm boardwalk and copal incense, wrapped in sweet tropical fruits, finally blooming with the bouquet of numerous flowers found throughout the tropical islands of both the New World and the islands of Southeast Asia.
First off, this fragrance is heavily based in the fresh aroma true Copal Blanco (Bursera bipinnata) essential oil and rich Sandalwood, to which traditional nag champa ingredients were blended. The warmth of a hot boardwalk and an ocean-tempered palapa are brought out by the addition of unique Aetoxylon oil distilled from wood from Papua New Guinea and other tropical woods and roots. Other resin oils such as Benzoin, Amyris and Sweet Myrrh round out the incense-like base. Next, a seductively sweet collection of tropical delights such as Coconut, Vanilla, and Yuzu blended with natural Pineapple melange swirl amongst the shade of swaying palms and other coastal plants. Finally, the seaside breeze sweeps the intoxicating breath of precious flowers such as golden Champaca, Jasmine Sambac, Frangipani and Ylang-Ylang along the coastline, delighting one's senses.
